Transparency matters. This page explains how Prague Trip earns revenue and how this affects — or rather, doesn't affect — the editorial content on this site.

How we make money

Prague Trip participates in affiliate programs, primarily with GetYourGuide, the activity-booking platform. When you click one of our links to GetYourGuide and make a booking within 30 days, we earn a small commission on that booking. The commission comes out of GetYourGuide's margin — you pay the exact same price whether you book through our link or go directly to the platform.

Affiliate revenue is our only income source. We do not run display advertising, accept paid sponsorships, publish sponsored articles, or charge readers for content.

What this means for our content

Our editorial opinions are independent. We recommend tours, tickets, and services we believe are genuinely worth your time and money. A tour being available on GetYourGuide never, on its own, means we'll recommend it — and a tour being unavailable on GetYourGuide never means we'll pretend it doesn't exist.

You will see honest comparisons on this site — including recommendations to not buy a particular pass if it wouldn't pay off for your itinerary, or to book direct with a smaller operator when that's the better choice.

How to identify affiliate links

Every link to GetYourGuide on this site is an affiliate link. It contains a partner tracking parameter (partner_id=LDXYA0P) and a site-level campaign parameter (cmp=prague-trip). In the HTML, affiliate links include rel="noopener sponsored nofollow", which is the disclosure standard required by search engines.

Analytics and cookies

We aim for a low-friction reading experience. We do not display cookie consent banners. If we use analytics in the future, we intend to use a cookieless, privacy-first tool (such as Plausible or Umami) rather than Google Analytics, so that no personal identifiers are sent to third parties.

Our commitments

  • We will never recommend a tour, pass, or service purely because it generates commission.
  • We label every affiliate link honestly in the HTML.
  • We prioritise your travel outcome over our commission.
  • The guides remain free and always will.
